Full colour patches in any shape — appliqués, sublimated flag labels, printed labels
A printed patch is your artwork applied to fabric — by sublimation (fused into polyester) or DTF printing — and laser-cut precisely to the outline of your logo. No colour limit, with gradients and photographs that neither weaving nor embroidery can reproduce. We sew it on as an appliqué on the front or side of the cap, stitch it in as a small sublimated flag label on the edge or a beanie cuff, or add it as a printed label in the seam. Quick to produce and cost-effective even on small runs — and always with a sample before production.

Printed patches work best for:

The technique is the same (printing on fabric + cutting); what changes is the shape, the size, and where and how we sew the piece on. Formats can be combined, e.g. an appliqué on the front + a flag label with your web address on the edge.

How custom printed patch caps are made, step by step.
You send your artwork (PDF, AI, SVG, high-resolution PNG) and tell us whether you want an appliqué, a flag label or a printed label — and on which caps. Quote with a visual within 1–2 working days.
We print your artwork on fabric (sublimation or DTF), then the laser cuts the patches to outline and heat-seals the edge. No loom program — quick, with no set-up.
We sew the patch onto a sample cap and send you photos for approval. On request, we send a physical sample by courier.
Once approved, we sew on the appliqués or stitch in the flag labels or labels across the whole run. Standard lead time: 5–10 working days. Dispatched by courier on completion.

How is a printed patch different from a woven patch?
A woven patch is woven from coloured threads — it has a limited number of colours and needs a loom program. A printed patch is made by applying your artwork to fabric (sublimation or DTF printing), so it carries any number of colours, gradients and photographs, and we laser-cut the shape precisely to the outline of your logo. It is quicker to make and cost-effective even on small runs; a woven patch has a more textile, premium texture.
Sublimated patches or DTF printing — which should I choose?
Sublimation penetrates white polyester fabric — the print cannot be felt, resists abrasion and is ideal for flag labels and labels with fine text; it needs a light base, so we print the background colour too. DTF is applied to any fabric, including dark and cotton fabrics, as a thin, flexible layer — good for larger appliqués. We will match the technique to your logo and the patch material.
What is a contour-cut appliqué?
It is a printed patch whose shape is not a rectangle or a circle but the exact outline of your logo — the laser cuts it along the contour and heat-seals the edge at the same time so it does not fray. We sew this kind of appliqué onto the front, side or back of the cap; to the eye it looks like your logo has been ‘placed on’ the cap, with a crisp edge.
Can flag labels and labels be printed too?
Yes. A sublimated flag label is a small tab folded in half, carrying your logo or web address, sewn into the edge of a cap, a beanie cuff or a side seam — full colour on both sides. A printed label (satin or another polyester fabric) goes into the back seam or inside the cap and can include your logo, brand name, size or composition.
How much do custom printed patches cost, and what is the minimum order?
The price depends on the patch size, print technique, edge finish and quantity — the number of colours makes no difference and there is no loom program, which is why printed patches are cost-effective from just 10 pieces. Send us your logo and a rough number of caps, and within 1–2 working days we will send back a quote with a visual.
How durable are printed patches? What about washing?
Sublimation is part of the fabric structure, so it will not rub off or crack; DTF is a thin, flexible layer that withstands many washes, though it is slightly less abrasion-resistant than weaving or embroidery. A laser-sealed or overlocked edge will not fray. We recommend hand washing or machine washing at 30°C, without bleach and without tumble drying.
