How our laser engraved patches are made, step by step.
Choose the shape, size and leather colour, upload your logo (PDF, AI, SVG, PNG, JPG) and decide: engrave the logo or the background. The online designer shows a preview on the cap and the price.
The laser cuts the patch to the chosen shape and burns the logo into the leather — no inks or adhesives, with crisp detail. No set-up, no moulds.
We sew the patch onto a sample cap and send you photos for approval. On request, we can courier a physical sample so you can judge the leather colour and engraving depth in person.
Once you approve, we sew the patches onto the whole run. Standard lead time: 5–10 working days. Dispatched by courier once complete.

Will my logo work on a faux leather patch?
Laser engraving is single-colour — the logo is burnt into the leather in a darker shade — so the best results come from logotypes with a clear outline, monograms, lettering and vintage- or craft-style symbols. The laser picks up fine lines and small details, but it can't reproduce colours or gradients; we simplify artwork like that to a single colour or recommend DTF print instead. What does engraving the logo or the background mean?
In the online designer you choose one of two modes: logo engraving — only the logo is burnt in and the rest of the leather keeps its natural colour; or background engraving — we burn the area around the logo, which stays light in the leather colour (a negative effect with stronger contrast). Both modes cost the same, because the price depends on the patch area.
Which shapes, sizes and leather colours are available?
8 shapes: circle, square, low oval, rectangle, rounded rectangle, shield, hexagon and diamond, in widths from approx. 30 to 110 mm depending on the shape. 20 leather colours — from caramel, beige and ivory, through browns, graphite, black and navy, to burgundy, olive, denim, turquoise, mustard and metallic gold. Which caps and hats can a faux leather patch be sewn onto?
Caps (baseball, snapback, full cap, trucker), winter hats and beanies — engraved leather patch hats with the patch on the cuff are a classic for outdoor and craft brands — as well as snoods and headbands. We sew the patch on wherever you choose: front, side or back.
How durable is engraved faux leather? What about washing?
The engraving is burnt into the material, so it won't rub off, peel or fade — alongside embroidery, it's the most durable way to decorate caps. We recommend hand washing or washing at 30°C, with no bleach and no tumble drying, as for any decorated cap.
How much do faux leather patches cost, and what is the minimum quantity?
The price depends on the patch area (its shape and size) and the quantity — the leather colour, engraving mode and logo complexity make no difference, and there is no set-up fee.
