Direct-to-film: we print your artwork in full colour onto a special film and heat-press it into the fabric of the cap. What ends up on the cap is exactly what is in your file — multicolour logos, gradients, shading, halftones, photos, thin lines and small lettering that embroidery could not reproduce without simplifying. How DTF printing on caps works, step by step.
Upload your artwork (PDF, AI, SVG, PNG, JPG) to the online designer or send it by email. A vector file or a high-resolution PNG with a transparent background works best — we will check the file and let you know if anything is worth improving.
We print the artwork in full colour (with a white underbase for dark caps) onto transfer film and coat it with adhesive. No set-up — the price does not depend on the number of colours.
We heat-press the print onto a sample cap and send you photos for approval. On request, we send a physical sample by courier.
Once you approve, we produce the full run. Typically 5–10 working days. Dispatched by courier on completion.

Is DTF printing suitable for my logo?
DTF transfers exactly what is in your file onto the cap: any number of colours, gradients, shadows, photos, thin lines and small lettering — with no simplification. The only limitation is very small text under approx. 1 mm high, which may become illegible. Upload your file to the online designer and you will instantly see a preview on your chosen cap, together with the price.
When should I choose DTF printing and when embroidery?
Choose DTF when your logo has many colours, gradients, a photo or very fine detail — and when price matters, because the cost depends on the print area, not on the number of colours or stitches. Choose embroidery when you want prestige, the texture of thread and maximum durability; it works best for simple, high-contrast logos. If in doubt, our adviser will recommend the right option after looking at your file.
Which caps can be DTF printed?
Most caps are suitable — custom printed baseball caps in cotton, polyester and blends, as well as trucker caps with a foam front. The print looks best on smooth, flat panels; for knitted winter hats and waterproof coatings, please ask — we will suggest a suitable model or propose a different technique.
How durable is DTF printing? How should I wash the cap?
DTF is a thin, flexible layer heat-bonded into the fabric — it does not crack with normal wear and withstands many washes. It is, however, less resistant to abrasion than embroidery. We recommend hand washing or machine washing at 30°C, with no bleach and no tumble dryer, and not ironing directly over the print.
How much does DTF printing cost and what is the minimum order?
The price depends on the print area and the quantity — the number of colours makes no difference, and there is no set-up fee. We print from 1 piece, and the unit price drops noticeably on larger quantities. You can see the exact price for your logo and cap in the online designer in 30 seconds.
Will I get a sample before production?
Always. As standard, we send you photos of the finished print on a sample cap for approval; on request, we send a physical sample by courier so you can judge the colours and finish in person. Production only starts once you have approved it.
