A woven (jacquard) patch is your logo woven on a loom from coloured polyester threads — smooth and flat, with crisp outlines and a clean edge. We attach the same woven tape in three ways: as a patch on the front or side of the cap, as a small flag label sewn into the edge, the peak or a beanie cuff, or as a woven label in the seam. A classic for heritage, sports and streetwear brands — very durable, with a genuine retail-collection look. Every order of custom woven patch caps is quoted individually, always with a sample before production.

Woven patches work best for:

All our woven label patches are made with one technique (jacquard weaving); what differs is the shape, the size, and where and how we attach them. Formats can be combined, e.g. a patch on the front + a flag label with your web address on the edge.
Sewn flat onto the front, side or back of the cap — the main spot for your logo.
- Shape: rectangle, circle, shield, oval or cut to the logo outline
- Size typically approx. 40–100 mm (cap front)
- Edge: merrowed (overlocked) for simple shapes, or laser/heat cut for outline shapes
- Attachment: machine-stitched around the edge (optional iron-on backing)
A small woven tab folded in half and sewn into a seam — it sticks out like a little flag. Usually a logo, initials or a web address.
- Placement: edge of a cap, beanie cuff, side or back seam, edge of the peak
- Size typically approx. 15–25 mm high
- Single- or double-sided (logo on both sides)
- Attachment: sewn into the seam while the cap is being decorated
A woven label in place of the manufacturer's label — your logo on the inside, just like on your own collection.
- Placement: back seam (outside), inner sweatband, cuff seam
- Content: logo, brand name, optionally web address, size or composition
- Size typically approx. 20–50 mm, folded (end-fold / centre-fold) or flat
- Attachment: sewn into a seam or stitched along two edges

How a woven patch is made, step by step.
Send us your logo (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF, PNG) and tell us whether you want a patch, a flag label or a woven label — and on which caps. We send back a quote with a visual within 1–2 working days.
We translate your logo into a program for the jacquard loom (thread colours, weave density, edge). We weave a sample and send you photos — or, on request, a physical sample by courier.
Once you approve, we weave the whole run and finish the edges (merrowed or cut to the outline).
We sew the patches on and stitch flag labels or woven labels into the chosen places on the caps. Shipped by courier once the order is complete.

How is a woven patch different from embroidery?
Embroidery is stitched directly onto the cap — the needle sews your logo into the fabric. A woven (jacquard) patch is woven separately on a loom, thread by thread, and only then sewn onto the cap. That gives it a smooth, flat surface, sharper fine detail and a clean edge, and the same logo can be sewn onto different cap styles, winter hats included. Embroidery has a more raised, textile feel; a patch looks more graphic and uniform.
Is my logo suitable for a woven patch?
Logos with clear shapes and a limited number of colours work best: crests, shields, lettering, and heritage or sports-style symbols. Jacquard weaving reproduces fine detail better than embroidery, but it has its limits — lettering from approx. 4 mm high and lines from approx. 0.5 mm; gradients and photos are not possible (that is what printed patches are for). What is a flag label, and how does it differ from a patch and a woven label?
It is the same woven tape, used in a different way. A patch is sewn flat onto a cap panel (front, side or back). A flag label is a small woven tab, usually folded in half and sewn into a seam: on the edge of a cap, on a beanie cuff or at the side — most often carrying a logo or a web address. A woven label is sewn into the back seam or inside the cap, where the manufacturer's label would go, with your logo and optionally the composition or size.
How do you attach the patches? Can I order the patches on their own?
As standard, we machine-stitch the patches on — the most durable way of attaching them, resistant to washing and to the peak being bent. On request, we can supply patches with an iron-on (heat-seal) backing for you to apply yourself, or deliver loose patches on their own, without caps.
How much does a woven patch cost, and what is the minimum order?
The price depends on the size of the patch, the quantity and the attachment method; the first order also includes a one-off weaving program set-up, which is not repeated on later runs. Woven patches become cost-effective from a few dozen pieces — we produce from 25 pieces. Send us your logo and a rough number of caps, and we will send you a quote with a visual within 1–2 working days.
How durable are woven patches? What about washing?
Very durable — polyester fabric does not fade, does not fray when the edge is merrowed or heat-sealed, and lasts for years of wear. A cap with a patch can be washed by hand or at 30°C without bleach, like any decorated cap.
